Appeal for witnesses to assault on woman in Athlone
A woman is believed to have been assaulted by four youths in Athlone last Tuesday.
GARDAÍ HAVE ISSUED an appeal for witnesses to an assault on a woman that took place a week ago.
A woman was assaulted by what Gardaí believe was four youths in the Monkland area of Athlone between 7pm and 8pm last Tuesday, 15 November.
Monkland is on the Old Tuam Road between a housing estate known as Ceathru na Gloc and the Monksland community centre and it is thought a number of people were jogging in the area at the time.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them at 090 649 8550, the Garda confidential line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
