Man arrested over shooting at Dublin pub

A 45-year-old man was brought to hospital over the incident.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING A shooting in a pub in Dublin have arrested a man.

They said that gardaí in Dun Laoghaire investigating the shooting of a firearm on Monday 9 June 2014 have arrested a male in his 30s in connection with the incident.

The man was arrested in Dublin this evening and is being detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda station under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.

A 45-year-old man was brought to hospital after the shooting in the Noggin Inn pub in Sallynoggin shortly after 1am on Monday.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

The attacker left the scene on foot.
