A batch of recalled 'Miss Fit 14 Day Skinny Tea' FSAI

FSAI recalls four slimming tea and coffee products over 'unauthorised' health claims

The authority has asked wholesalers and retailers to remove these products from shelves and to display point-of-sale notices to inform customers.

THE FOOD SAFETY Authority of Ireland has recalled several batches of tea and coffee slimming products over ‘unauthorised’ health claims.

The authority is recalling four different Miss Fit Skinny Tea and Miss Fit Coffee products including:

  • Miss Fit Skinny Tea 14 Day Skinny Tea – pack size 35 g.
  • Miss Fit Skinny Tea Max – pack size 35 g.
  • Miss Fit Slimming Coffee 14 Day Fat Burning Instant Coffee – pack size 70 g.
  • Miss Fit Skinny Coffee Max – pack size 70 g.

The authority has said today that these products are being recalled due to “incorrect, misleading and ambiguous labelling.”

“Amongst the labelling breaches are health claims which are not authorised and are therefore misleading to the consumer,” the FSAI has said.

The authority has asked wholesalers and retailers to remove these products from shelves and to display point-of-sale notices to inform customers.
