LAST UPDATE | 12 Dec 2021
A FEMALE PEDESTRIAN has suffered serious injuries after being involved in a road traffic collision with an SUV on George’s Street in Dublin city centre last night.
The collision occurred at around 9pm last night – firefighters and Gardaí attended the scene and a section of road was closed off.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 30s, suffered “serious injuries” and was taken to St James Hospital to be treated, Gardaí said.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
Following a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators, the section of road that had closed earlier, between Dame Street Junction and Stephen Street Upper, has re-opened.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 666 9000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
