Fourth man arrested as part of probe into Tralee funeral murder

Two men have already been charged with the killing.

A MAN IN his 30s was arrested today in connection with the murder of a man at a Kerry graveyard on 5 October.

The man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tralee Garda Station.
 
This is the fourth arrest made as part of this investigation, with one of the men previously arrested being released from custody without charge earlier today.

Gardaí said the man in his 40s was released and a file will now be sent to the DPP. 

Tommy Dooley died after he was stabbed to death while attending the funeral of a friend in Rathass Cemetery in Tralee. 

His wife was also seriously injured in the incident. 

Tommy’s brother, Patrick Dooley (35), has already been charged with murder. 

A second man who is also a relative of the deceased, Thomas Dooley (41) of Bay 10 Halting Site, Carrigrohane Road, Cork has also been charged.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
