Dublin and Wicklow under Status Yellow rain warning as country hit by freezing weather and rain
There may be flooding in Dublin and Wicklow this morning .

MET ÉIREANN ISSUED a new Status Yellow rain warning for Dublin and Wicklow overnight, as flooding has been reported in multiple parts of north Dublin.
An apartment complex car park has flooded in Clongriffin, with a number of cars submerged underwater, and the road between Rush and Lusk is flooded.
A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning is in place for the whole country from 9pm this evening to 10am tomorrow morning.
The Status Yellow rain warning for Dublin and Wicklow is in effect until midday today.
Dublin Airport has warned that some roads to the airport are closed or “trickier to navigate than usual this morning” due to heavy rainfall overnight.
Passengers driving to the airport are advised to follow local diversions and to take extra care.
Flight operations themselves are operating as normal.

The forecaster says that both counties will see heavy spells of rain, the warning is in place until midday today.
Met Éireann is warning that temperatures are to fall to between -1 and -3 degrees tonight and that there will be “sharp frost and icy conditions”.
This could mean that travel conditions will be hazardous and there could be travel disruption.
Today is to be generally cold with some frost and ice to begin the day, with dry and sunny conditions in the north, while there will be lingering rain in the south and the east.
Temperatures will only reach between 3 and 7 degrees, and will then drop to between 0 and -4 degrees tonight.
Tomorrow is to be cold and dry initially with widespread frost and icy patches. There will be rain showers which will be heavy in parts as the day goes.
There’s a possibility of sleet or wet snow for a time, mainly in Connacht and Ulster.
The weather is to remain unsettled into next week, with conditions set to become wet and windy on Tuesday with a further possibility of spot flooding, sleet, and snow.
