Man (30s) dies in hospital after alleged assault in Blanchardstown over the weekend

Two male teenagers have been charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear in court later today.

A MAN WHO was seriously injured during an alleged assault in Blanchardstown last weekend has died in hospital.

The man was found unconscious on Mill Road in Blanchardstown shortly after 4.20pm on Sunday.

Two male teenagers have been charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear before Dublin District Court this evening.

In a statement this afternoon, a garda spokesperson said the injured man (30s) was pronounced dead in hospital earlier today.

The coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a postmortem examination will be arranged.

Investigators continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Gardaí have looked to speak with anyone who travelled on Mill Lane in Blanchardstown, either on foot or by car, between 4pm and 5pm on Sunday.
