WE’RE WELL AND truly into awards season now, with the Golden Globes and Grammys wrapped up for another year (both of which were big days for Killarney natives Jessie Buckley and Ruairí O’Flaherty).
Up next for movie lovers are the Baftas and the Oscars, while music fans can also look forward to the Brit Awards later this month.
With so many awards to hand out, the ceremonies themselves can take up a serious chunk of time – to the point that they’re almost like a movie in their own right. The Grammys ran close to three hours (and that’s not even counting the pre-show), with the Oscars expected to run even longer.
That being said, plenty of people still enjoy watching the awards unfold in full, turning them into a full event with themed parties and celebrations.
So, tell us: Do you tune into awards shows?
