ITALIAN PRIME MINISTER Silvio Berlusconi has dispensed some useful advice to young women attending a political youth rally: marry older men for their money.

The 73-year-old revealed the reason why women allegedly find him irresistible, namely because he’s a “nice guy” and he’s also “loaded.”

Berlusconi also, very kindly, provided an insight into how women think,  saying that they favour older men because they reason: “He’s old. He dies and I inherit.”

The Italian premier was immersed in a sex scandal last year when allegations of relationships with several young women, including an escort, were splashed across the Italian newspapers. Veronica Lario, Berlusconi’s wife, separated from him on the back of the incident.

Charmingly, Berlusconi admitted that he was “no saint” but drew the line at accusation of paying for sex, which he grievously insists he has never done.

Berlusconi was also called upon to apologise to Italy’s Jewish community after making  a joke about Hitler, saying that the Nazi leader’s followers were urging him to return to power.

Before telling the joke he said “I already know I am going to be criticized”.
