There were no injuries reported after the fire.

BEWLEYS HOTEL IN Ballsbridge was evacuated last night as fire services dealt with a blaze that had broken out in the laundry room.

Dublin Fire Brigade tasked four engines and an ambulance to the site in Dublin 4 at about 11.25pm, a spokesman told this morning.

No injuries were reported and the fire was under control within hours. The fire units left the scene at 1.30am.

Guests have now returned to the hotel and it is “business-as-usual”, Bewleys said.

The damage caused by the fire is not thought to be extensive.
