Poll: Should Fianna Fáil kick Brian Crowley out of the party?

Does Micheál Martin have to give his party’s only MEP the boot?

FIANNA FÁIL MEP Brian Crowley announced yesterday that he would be leaving the party’s group in the European Parliament to join the conservative eurosceptic ECR.

Fianna Fáil has said Crowley’s move is “unacceptable” and party whip Seán Ó Fearghaíl said he feels “bewildered” by the decision.

Crowley was elected for a fifth term in the European Parliament last month but ran with the support of the pro-EU ALDE grouping of which Fianna Fáil is a member.

So today’s poll: Should Fianna Fáil kick Brian Crowley out of the party?

Poll Results:

Yes. (5112)
No. (1398)
