Things are working out nicely ahead of the first of Bruce Springsteen’s two much-anticipated concerts in Dublin’s Croke Park.
Veteran Bruce fans will be well aware of the New Jersey singer’s work ethic – but the promoter’s taking no chances ahead of tonight’s concert.
In a reminder sent out on behalf of Aiken Promotions this week, concert-goers are being warned:
And if that sounds early – he’s even been known to stroll on stage strumming an acoustic guitar a good ten minutes before the stated start time (so don’t say you weren’t warned).
Fans are being asked to arrive at around 5pm when the gates open.

Ticket-holders are being asked to use the Luas, Dart or bus to get to the venue.
Late rail services will run after the concert, including special services to Limerick, Cork and Galway departing from Heuston at 12.30am.
And while fans will no doubt have been waiting on a sunny day (sorry) – the most Met Éireann can promise is “mainly dry” weather.
Here’s the Dublin-specific outlook:
A mainly dry day which will be rather cloudy to begin. However, cloud will tend to break as the day goes on allowing some sunny intervals to develop. Highest temperatures of 15 or 16 degrees Celsius in light and easterly breezes.
