China teen kills eight in knife attack - report

A further five people were reportedly injured in the incident.

A TEENAGER IN China has allegedly killed eight people in a knife attack in the country’s northeast.

Authorities in the Lianoning province said a further five people were injured in Wednesday night’s attack, reports the Xinhua news agency.

The Fushun city’s publicity department said the killing spree happened at about 9pm in Yongling.

The 17-year-old suspect is reported to have stabbed to death two of his girlfriend’s relatives in their home. He killed another six people and injured five more while attempting to flee the scene.

Police have detained the teen, identified by his surname Li, and investigations continue.
