THE TWO VICTIMS of a fatal road collision in Co Clare on Thursday have been named.
The incident happened at around 12am in Quinspool, Parteen. It’s understood one vehicle was involved.
Two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
They have now been named by gardaí as 30-year-old Patrick Hogan from Thomondgate, Limerick and 24-year-old Jonathan Healy of Kileely, Limerick.
Gardaí said details of the post-mortem results are not being released at present due to operational reasons.
An incident room at Mayorstone Park Garda Station was set up following the incident.
On Thursday, gardaí appealed for any witnesses to this incident to come forward, particularly any motorists who were travelling in the area between 12am and 1am who may have dashcam footage.

Is there an untold element to this tragic accident,it seems strange that an incident room was established and details are being withheld,no matter it is still a shocking loss of life.
The worst news any parent could get. I am so sorry for those who have to deal with the pain.

@Eugene Comaskey: It was no ordinary car crash. Both victims were incinerated and the two other passengers, one of whom is a 12 year old, are critically ill in hospital. The Gardai are not releasing full details to respect the privacy and sensitivity of the families, I would imagine.

I do not mention specific individuals or their relatives.You seem to imply I am indulging in salacious gossipmongering for my own gratification. Read the comments again to inform yourself because, clearly, in overall terms, you need to smarten up.

I thought I read that the 12 year old had died in the crash or did I read it wrong.
