€225,000 of cocaine found glued to suitcase at Dublin airport

A woman aged 50 from Trinidad and Tobago was searched and the drugs were found glued to the side walls of her two suitcases.

A WOMAN FROM Trinidad and Tobago has been arrested after drugs were found glued to the walls of her suitcase.

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service at Dublin Airport seized 3.2kgs of cocaine with a street value of approximately €225,000 yesterday .

The drugs were discovered when officers stopped and searched the baggage of the 50-year-old woman, who had arrived on a flight from Port of Spain.

The drugs were glued into the side walls of her two suitcases.

She was arrested and handed over to the gardaí from Ballymun, and is due to appear in court later today.
