Conor Lenihan decides not to contest FF leadership

CONOR LENIHAN has confirmed he will NOT be seeking nomination to contest Fianna Fáil’s leadership election, telling RTÉ’s David Davin-Power that having contacted others within the party, too many fellow TDs had already offered their support to other candidates. Lenihan’s withdrawal means that the four currently declared candidates will likely be the only ones to contest Wednesday’s election.
