Cosgrave appears in court to face corrupt payment charges

Former Fine Gael TD and Senator Liam T Cosgrave has denied all charges linked to corruption allegations.

FORMER FINE GAEL TD and Senator Liam T Cosgrave has appeared at Dublin District Court charged with five offences, RTÉ reports.

Cosgrave was arrested today and taken to the Bridewell Garda Station.

When the charges were put to him, Cosgrave relied “not guilty” to all corruption charges.

It is alleged that Cosgrave to have received corrupt payments between 1992 and 1997 in relation to re-zoning by Jackson Way at Carrickmines, Co Dublin.

He will appear in court again on 28 October when the Book of Evidence will be served.
