PEOPLE TRAVELLING VIA Heuston train station in Dublin this evening experienced delays of up to 50 minutes for their journeys.

The delays were due to the 5pm Heuston-Cork train breaking down at Inchicore.

Delayed departure to all other services from Heuston, approx 20-40 minutes, will depart as Cork and Tralee trains clear line ahead

At 6.20pm this evening Irish Rail said trains were departing with 5-20 minute delays, though it added these would ease throughout the evening. Services from Tralee were still experiencing 50 minute delays.
