Disruptions to Luas Red Line after car strikes tram

A car hit a Luas tram at around 2.30pm today, but no serious injuries have been reported.

SERVICES ON THE LUAS Red Line are disrupted this afternoon after a car struck a tram at Smithfield, Dublin today.

The car and tram collided at around 2.30pm and emergency services are at the scene. No serious injuries have been reported.

Services on the line are currently only running between Tallaght and Saggart to Blackhorse.

There are no services between Blackhorse and Connolly or The Point.

Luas tickets are valid for Dublin Bus services for the duration of the disruption and Luas operators say they are working to restore full services as quickly as possible.
