Do you have a TV?
RTÉ says that owning a TV is becoming less common among younger people and urban households.
IT’S BEEN ESTIMATED that one in five people do not own a TV, according to an RTÉ briefing presented to the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee.
The figures come as the national broadcaster says it will need a 32% increase in direct government funding due to a drop in licence fee payments, as reported in the Irish Independent.
The number of households without a TV has “increased steadily, particularly among younger cohorts and urban households,” according to RTÉ.
