“SOMETIMES IN POLITICS you get a wallop,” Enda Kenny said last weekend. And sometimes in life you get an actual wallop, as the Taoiseach did today.

The offender was none other than Ireland rugby boss Joe Schmidt as the pair posed for pictures at the Irish Management Institute in Dublin today where they spoke to business leaders.

Schmidt’s attempt to kick the ball and catch it ended up in him actually kicking it into the Taoiseach’s face.

Much laughter and sore faces.
