A PRISONER WHO escaped from custody while being treated at a Limerick hospital last week has been apprehended by gardaí and returned to prison. Christopher O’Donnell, 25, was being treated at Mid-Western Regional Hospital on 29 August when he escaped. He was pursued by two prison officers, but managed to get away. He has been serving an 18-month sentence for burglary.
