AN ESCAPED PRISONER IN SAO PAULO led police in a crazed car chase which included flying bullets and more than one lucky escape for motorists caught in his path.
The man struck two police motorcyclists and a number of other vehicles as he attempted to escape the authorities.
Australia’s Nine MSN reports that Wellington Goncalves dos Santos was in prison for burglary, theft and receiving stolen goods when he managed to escape.
He stole a car and was chased by police – some of whom can be seen shooting in the video – for 20 minutes before being surrounded and arrested.
Dos Santos was wounded in the hand during his escape attempt and was taken to hospital for treatment:
