Ex-girlfriend of Sikh temple shooter arrested

Misty Cook was arrested on separate charges of possessing a gun, which she is prohibited from doing as a felon.

THE EX-GIRLFRIEND OF Sikh temple shooter Wade Michael Page has been arrested.

Misty Cook lived with Page until June of this year. Her charges do not relate to the shooting at the weekend during which Page allegedly shot six people before turning the gun on himself.

ABC reports that Cook was arrested for having a gun, which she is prohibited from doing as a convicted felon.

According to Fox News, the weapon was found when police searched her home following the shootings.

There is no suggestion she was involved in the shootings.

The BBC reports that Page died from a self-inflicted gunshot to the head, after he had been shot in the stomach by police.
