Woman (89) dies in Limerick city house fire

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A WOMAN HAS died in a house fire on O’Curry Place in Limerick city this evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene just at 8.15pm this evening.

The woman, aged 89, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem is due to be carried out tomorrow at University Hospital Limerick.

The three-tender fire was brought under control by 9pm.
