Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly has said that providing protective equipment, including tasers, will help protect frontline gardaí.
THE NEW GARDA Commissioner Justin Kelly has said that he is considering the provision of tasers to frontline members of An Garda Síochána.
Kelly explained that he is looking to invest and improve protective equipment for frontline gardaí, adding that he has seen them under significant pressure during recent incidents.
“It is really important that they have everything they need to protect themselves,” the Commissioner said.
