It's a frosty, frosty morning out there. Take care on the roads now

There’s some mist and fog about too. Parts of Leinster are worst hit.

MOTORISTS ARE BEING advised to take care on the roads this morning, as frost and icy patches are being reported in many areas.

Parts of Leinster and east Ulster are worst hit. Drivers are being advised to give themselves extra time to de-ice their cars.

Mist and fog is also likely in some areas, according to Met Éireann.

The misty conditions are expected to clear this morning as cloud moves in from the west.

Rain and drizzle is likely in some areas later, and temperatures will reach between 7 and 11 degrees.

Weekend forecast 

There’ll be frost again in some areas overnight tonight, while tomorrow will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

Sunday will stay mostly cloudy with a fair amount of dry weather and some patchy light rain – although more persistent rain will spread eastwards in the evening.

Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be between 7 and 12 degrees.
