Funeral of PSNI officer Philippa Reynolds in Newtownabbey today

Two men, aged 23 and 25, have been charged in connection with the officer’s death.

THE FUNERAL OF PSNI officer, Philippa Reynolds, takes place later today in Newtownabbey in Antrim.

The 27-year-old was killed instantly after the patrol car she was in was hit by a stolen car on the The Limavady Road in Derry in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Her funeral will take place at Mossley Methodist Church in Newtownabbey at 12.30 pm this afternoon, interment afterwards will be held in Carnmoney Cemetery East.

Officer Reynolds is survived by her father and mother Mervyn and Dorothy, sisters Nicola and Debra, brother-in-law Adam, niece and nephew Robyn and Luke, and boyfriend Niall.

On Monday, two men in their 20s were charged in connection with her death at Derry Magistrates’ Court.
