Galway under Status Yellow thunderstorm warning this morning

There is also a small craft warning in effect for the sea area between Mizen Head and Slyne Head.

MET ÉIREANN HAS issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Co Galway, forecasting storms with hail and lightning. 

The warning comes into effect at 7.35am today and is due to expire at 10am this morning. 

There is also a small craft warning in effect for the sea area between Mizen Head and Slyne Head.

That warning is currently in place and will remain in effect until 3am tomorrow.
