Gardaí in Cork appeal for witnesses to serious collision

A man in his 80s was struck by a car on the Curaheen Road and remains in a stable condition at Cork University Hospital.

GARDAÍ IN CORK investigating a serious road traffic collision on the 23 January at Curraheen Road are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

At approximately 6.50pm a man in his 80s was struck by a car as he crossed the Curraheen Road. He was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries described as serious. He remains in a stable condition. The driver was uninjured in the incident.

Gardai would like to speak to anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision to contact Bishopstown Garda Station on 021-4624500, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
