The garda’s injuries are not life-threatening.

A MEMBER OF An Garda Síochána remains in hospital after a garda van collided with a Dublin Bus in Clontarf this morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 2.30am when the garda van, which contained two male Gardaí, collided with the bus, which was parked and empty at the time.

While both Gardaí were brought to hospital following the incident, one was discharged a short time later. The remaining garda does not have life-threatening injuries, a spokesperson from the Garda Press Office told TheJournal.ie.

It’s believed that they were responding to a call when the incident occurred.
