ALLIANZ HAS BEEN insuring pets across Ireland for years now, and we’ve joined forces to bring you some of the best doggos that the country has to offer. Last month’s poll was one of our most hotly contested yet, and in the end, the margin between first and second place was a mere 318 votes. Frankie the golden retriever won out with 2,544 votes and will receive a €30 voucher for Irish pet shop pets.ie. 

To refresh your memory, Frankie was described by his human as a ‘big hairy giant baby’. His humans say he loves ‘running around the fields in search of who knows what’ and that he ‘didn’t get the retriever part of the memo’.

He thinks he’s a lapdog despite being six stone and having three younger feline sisters who love to annoy him.

While there were plenty of photos of Frankie in last month’s poll, we’ve got some more of him to share right now.

Walter is a seven-year-old who loves eating apples, cherries and strawberries from the garden and barking at anything new, including ladders and furniture.
