2. #RIP: Liverpool and Portugal football player Diogo Jota has died in a car accident in Spain, at the age of 28. Jota’s brother, 26-year-old Andre Silva, was also killed in the accident.

3. #DEFAMATION: The partner of Ashling Murphy, who was murdered in 2022, settled a defamation case with the BBC today. 

4. #COLLEGE FEES: The Taoiseach has said the government plans to make permanent changes to the area of students’ fees that are “sustainable” and warned against “speculation” and “noise” about what might be announced in the Budget. 

5. #FATAL CRASH: The local community in Inishowen is “raw with grief” with the news of the death of a young girl after a serious crash in Co Donegal yesterday evening.
