Gardaí search for pair who attacked a woman as they stole her car in broad daylight

The hijacking pair assaulted the woman outside her apartment in Dublin 4. Her car has since been found by gardaí.

GARDAÍ ARE CONTINUING to hunt for a pair who hijacked a car and left a woman injured in hospital.

The car taken in the incident was recovered this morning.

Gardaí said the grey Ford Focus was located in the Kevin Street area of Dublin.

The incident occurred in broad daylight on Monday afternoon at 2pm, as the woman was pulling into an apartment complex at Argyle House, Serpentine Avenue, Dublin 4, in her car.

The woman (59) was assaulted and her car was taken.

The car was driven off towards Merrion Road after the incident.

The woman sustained injuries during the hijacking, and is in hospital.

Anyone who has any information about this incident or knows the whereabouts of the car is asked to contact Irishtown Garda station on 01 666 9600.
