Garda investigation underway after skeletal remains discovered during works in Dublin

The remains were found during works in the Dublin 12 area.

A GARDA INVESTIGATION is underway following the discovery of skeletal remains at the rear of a home in Dublin.

The remains were found on the Naas Road in Dublin 12.

The discovery was made shortly after 5pm yesterday evening during works which were being carried out in the area.

The Office of the State Pathologist and the Coroner have been notified.

The Garda Technical Bureau are also examining the scene, along with a forensic anthropologist.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing and that there is further information is available at this time.
