IRELAND IS CURRENTLY the cheapest country in Europe to book rental holiday accommodation.

Research conducted by HomeToGo took into account the prices of one million holidays rentals across Europe this month and found Ireland is overall quite reasonable:

A one week stay for four adults will set you back on average €484 if you are booking for the high season. This compares to an average of €969 if you want to stay in Switzerland.

Though we’re currently offering good value for money, it is still twice as profitable to rent out a property here than it is in London. The research also shows rental prices fall about 29% in the low season in resort towns while there is little change in prices in cities in the low season.

Overall it might be cheaper in Ireland but Dublin is the 10th most expensive city in Europe for vacation rentals.

So if anyone is looking for a bit of a September getaway, it might be cheaper to stay here – just not in Dublin.
