Irish company gets €4m for solar energy project

R&R MECHANICAL, a company based in Tullamore, Co Offaly, has been awarded a €4m research grant from the EU. One of the company’s projects which  cools solar power plants came first out of 61 projects nominated from across the EU. RTÉ reports that the project is expected to run for over four years and will be based jointly in R&R’s offices in Offaly and in the University of Limerick.
