Irish men arrested in major drugs haul in Ibiza

Two Irish men have been arrested in Ibiza as part of a major drugs seizure by Spanish authorities.

TWO MEN FROM the Republic are among 13 people to have been arrested as part of a major drugs haul in Ibiza.

British and Polish nationals were also among those arrested, including a man in his 30s from Co Antrim, the BBC reports.

Eight properties were searched as part of the raid, led by the Guardia Civil. Some 4,000g of cocaine, 3,600 ecstasy pills, five kilograms of MDMA and 5,000g of crystal meth – along with €69,000 – were seized, reports the Telegraph.

The UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency said that those detained were members of “one of the most active gangs on Ibiza”.
