TONIGHT WILL BE wet and humid with rain heaviest in Munster, where three counties are under a Status Yellow rain warning.

Met Éireann have issued a rain warning for counties Cork, Kerry and Waterford, where there will be spells of heavy rain that could cause spot flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

The warning comes into place tonight at 9pm and expire at 9am Friday.

Overall the next week looks like it will be unsettled with rain or showers. Temperatures will usually be in the mid to high teens, and get into the 20s on Monday and Tuesday, before reducing again for the rest of the week. 

Saturday looks like it will be the most dry and sunny of the next few days.

Forecast

This morning will be mostly cloudy and wet with heavy rain in some places, and highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.

The rain will become patchier as the day goes on, but there’ll be heavier outbreaks this evening. Tonight will be mild and humid with lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.

Friday will start off wet with highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees. For most of the country the rain will ease during the afternoon, but it will continue to be east in the east with some heavy showers.

On Friday night, there’ll be more outbreaks of showery rain which will clear overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees are expected.

Saturday will be largely dry with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, but there will still be a chance of an odd light shower. Saturday night will be dry with clear spells for a time and lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

On Sunday, rain will mainly affect counties on the west coast, while further east will be drier and brighter. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees are expected with the warmest weather over the southern half of the country.

Sunday night will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain in the west and northwest and lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain which may be heavy at times. It will be warm with highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.

Tuesday will be cooler and brighter with sunny spells and scattered showers, mainly over the northern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees are expected.
