Male cyclist (30s) dies in Kerry collision

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MALE CYCLIST has died in a collision in Kerry.

The man, who is in his 30s, was fatally injured after colliding with a car on the N22 at Scart, Farranfore, at around 11.15am this morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Kerry General Hospital.

The driver and passenger of the car were not injured, gardaí said.

The road has now reopened after an examination by garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí in Killarney have asked witnesses to contact the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111, Killarney Garda station on 064-6671160 or any other station.
