60-year-old pedestrian killed on Kildare road

The female driver involved in the incident was unharmed.

A 60-YEAR-old man was killed yesterday in a road collision in Kildare.

The pedestrian was struck by a car at Moyvalley at 5.45pm yesterday evening. Emergency services attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The 25-year-old female driver was uninjured in the collision.

A post mortem is expected to take place today at the Mortuary in Naas where the man’s body was taken following the crash.

Gardaí are still at scene, which is down to one lane to facilitate a forensic collision examination, and motorists are asked to take alternative routes if possible.
