A MAJOR STUDY out today found that there are no major side effects if people give blood more frequently than is currently recommended.
In Ireland you can currently donate blood every 90 days if you are eligible.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service runs clinics around the country and puts out calls to the public when stocks of blood are particularly low.
