Truck on fire leads to M1 closure

The M1 Dublin/Belfast road is closed northbound after a truck went on fire.

A TRUCK WENT on fire on the M1 today, leading to the closure of part of the M1 motorway.

Gardaí confirmed that the truck went on fire near a slip road.

The AA reports that the M1 Dublin/Belfast road is closed northbound between J16 Dundalk South and J17 Dundalk following the fire.

Diversions are in place.
