Majella O'Donnell finished chemotherapy, feeling 'normal again'

Majella shaved her head on the Late Late Show in September in order to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society.

SINGER DANIEL O’Donnell has expressed his joy at his wife Majella’s completion of chemotherapy treatment.

In his latest newsletter to his fans, he said that he is pleased to report that she is “beginning to feel as she says ‘normal again’” after this phase of her treatment for breast cancer.

The businesswoman appeared on the Late Late Show in September to have her head shaved for the Irish Cancer Society, and touched many people with her story. So many, in fact, that the ICS‘s online donations system collapsed.

The couple will spend Christmas at home and are due to go to Tenerife for a month in the New Year. “We are both looking forward to some quiet time,” O’Donnell said.

The news of his wife’s cancer broke in July of this year, with the couple saying they were very hopeful of a full recovery.
