Man, 27, dies in Kerry crash

The collision occurred near Killarney just before midnight.

A 27-YEAR-OLD man has died in a serious road collision in county Kerry.

The incident occurred on the N22 at Dunrine, near Killarney, at 11.45pm yesterday.

The deceased was the sole occupant and driver of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood the vehicle struck a wall.

The body was removed to Tralee General Hospital, where a post-mortem exam will be carried out.

Although the scene has reopened, the N22 Killarney to Tralee Road is down to one lane at Lawlor’s Cross near Coolnagarrehy. AA Roadwatch has warned drivers in the area to proceed with “extreme care”.
