A SECOND MAN has been arrested following a shooting in Limerick last night.
Gardaí from Henry Street Garda Station arrested the two men following the incident at New Road, Thomond Gate at approximately 7.40pm on Tuesday.
Shots were fired at a house in the area when three people – a 22-year-old woman and two male teenagers – were in the home. Gardaí confirmed that no-one was injured in the incident.
A motorcycle was seen leaving the scene and gardaí arrested a male in his early 20s close to the scene.
He was taken to Mayorstone Garda station where he is being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
The second man, who is aged 22, was arrested shortly after midnight. He is being held at Roxboro Garda Station.
