Man charged over murder in Kilkeel last weekend

Twenty-eight-year-old man is the second person arrested and charged by PSNI in connection with the murder of a Ukrainian-born man in Co Derry on Saturday night.

PSNI OFFICERS investigating the murder of a man in Kilkeel, Co Down, last weekend have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the death.

Dmytro Grysunov, 29, originally from Ukraine, died from gunshot wounds after a dispute between two gangs of foreign nationals on the night of 23 April. A second man was wounded in the leg.

Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with the incident and are holding them at Pearse Street Station in Dublin.

The BBC reports that a woman, 32, has been charged with assisting an offender, perverting the course of justice and withholding information.

The 28-year-old man arrested by the PSNI has been charged with affray and assisting an offender, and is due to appear in court in Newry tomorrow. Three other men arrested in connection with the murder have been released on police bail.
