Man in critical condition after assault in Co Waterford last night
The injured man was brought to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of his injuries.
A MAN IS in critical condition after a serious assault in Co Waterford last night.
The assault occurred at approximately 11:50pm at the junction of Cook Street and Mill Street in Cappoquin, Co Waterford.
The injured man, aged in his 40s, was brought to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of his injuries. He remains there in critical condition.
Gardaí in Dungarvan are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have any information or video footage to contact the station: Dungarvan Garda Station on (058) 48600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing, a spokesperson said.
