A MAN IN Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of two murders in the local area.
Shortly before 10am this morning Merseyside Police received a call from someone concerned about the safety of two women at a house in the east of the city.
Shortly after a police patrol attended the scene and two dead bodies were discovered.
A 42-year-old man is being held in relation to the two deaths, and will be questioned by officers.
A post mortem by the UK Home Office is still due to take place and police have said that the investigation is in the “very early stages”.
The BBC is reporting that the two women are believed to be mother and daughter.
According to locals, the younger woman had looked after her mother as a carer and was regularly seen walking her dog in the local area.
