Gardaí seize drugs worth €285,000 and €100,000 in cash in Meath

Heroin, crack cocaine and a submachine gun were found during searches today and yesterday.

GARDAÍ HAVE MADE a further seizure of controlled drugs and cash at a location at Pelletstown, Dunshaughlin, Co Meath today.

Gardaí from the Special Crime Task Force and Armed Support Unit, in collaboration with specialised units from the Dublin and Meath regions, carried out searches targeting organised crime today and yesterday.

During the course of today’s search, heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of €285,000 (subject to analysis) were recovered, along with approximately €100,000 in cash.

Two men, 35 years and 23 years, who were arrested yesterday as part of this investigation remain in garda custody.

Yesterday, heroin and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of €60,000 (pending analysis) were recovered, along with approximately €50,000 in cash. A submachine gun (subject to technical examination) was also recovered.
